Over his 5 decades in the business Sal has conducted over 45,000 private coaching sessions, and has spend tens of thousands of additional hours coaching youth, high school, club and college teams, as well as consulted with high school sports programs, facilities and organizations throughout the country.

Sal is the Head Coach at Athletic Development Coaching located in Millburn, NJ, holds certifications from the conditioning profession's most prestigious certifying organizations, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and USA Weightlifting. He is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer, and a USA Weightlifting Certified Club Coach. 

Additionally, he is a member of the GAIN Network, an exclusive group of Professional, University, International and Olympic level coaches, headed up by legendary Strength and Conditioning Coach Vern Gambetta. Sal presented at the 2015 International GAIN Conference at Rice University.

As the first Head Strength and Conditioning at Chatham High School, Sal designed and implemented a cutting edge strength and conditioning program for all of the school's athletes. 

During Sal's tenure at Chatham the athletic program enjoyed unparalleled success in both boys and girls sports, where teams played in and won state championships in football, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls lacrosse, wrestling, and swimming. Sal helped develop athletes who were All-County, All-Conference, All-State and All-American, many of whom went on to compete at all levels of college. In addition to his responsibilities as Chatham's Strength and Conditioning Coach, he also served as the Assistant Head Football Coach, which reached the State Finals in their third year and the semi-finals two years later.

In his career Sal has worked privately with athletes who excelled in baseball, track and field, wrestling, figure skating, fencing, women's gymnastics and tennis, including a girl’s New Jersey State Singles Champion who went on to be the first Northwestern University's women's tennis player to win 100 matches, and played professionally for two years.

Sal was part of the coaching staff that built Mercy College's start-up men's lacrosse program, a team that was ranked 6th in the nation in the program's second year of existence and has been a perennial success at the Division 2 level. From Mercy he moved on to join the lacrosse staff at Division 1 Manhattan College where for 3 years he worked with the men's and women's lacrosse and basketball teams, the golf team and many athletes from the college’s athletic program.

Sal worked as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Montclair State's Division 3 Men's Lacrosse and Men's Basketball programs, and recently worked with the Men’s Lacrosse program at Drew University for 2 seasons. At Drew, Sal was part of the coaching staff that brought the team to the conference playoffs for the first time in almost a decade.

In addition to his work at Athletic Development Coaching, Sal consults with high school teams, clubs, coaches and personal trainers from across the country, as well as serving as Performance Consultant for Inner Image and Inspiri Wellness of Florham Park, NJ. He has been a regular contributor to Steve Czaban's nationally broadcasted Sports Radio talk show, has appeared as an expert in the field of Sports Performance on a variety of ESPN programs, and has been published in the New York Post.
